Senior dogs often need a little extra care during grooming. At Green Dog Mobile Grooming, we provide quiet, one-on-one mobile grooming tailored to the comfort and needs of older pets. Whether your senior dog needs a simple bath & brush or a full groom with a pet trim, we work gently and at their pace.
Our mobile grooming van comes to you—reducing travel stress, eliminating long salon waits, and helping your dog stay relaxed in familiar surroundings. With no other pets around, your dog receives our full attention from start to finish. Each appointment is adjusted based on your dog’s mobility, skin condition, and coat type. Our grooming table lowers to just 16 inches, making it easy for dogs to step on safely and comfortably. It raises up to 42 inches and supports up to 250 pounds, ideal for grooming pets of all sizes.
What’s Included in Every Bath or Groom Appointment
We tailor each appointment to meet your senior dog's individual needs. Our gentle approach is designed to accommodate aging joints, sensitive skin, and any mobility concerns your dog may have.
Bath & Brush Appointments include:
- Bath with iGroom Deshedding + Detangling Shampoo, iGroom 50:1 Gentle Clean, Earthbath Hypo-Allergenic Shampoo, or Earthbath Oatmeal & Aloe
- Conditioning with iGroom Deshedding + Detangling Conditioner, iGroom Argan + Vitamin E Conditioner, or Earthbath Oatmeal & Aloe Creme Rinse, depending on coat needs
- External anal gland expression, if needed
- Drying with a K9 II high-velocity dryer
- Brushing to remove loose coat and prevent tangles
- Nail trim and ear cleaning
Groom Appointments include everything above, plus a pet trim customized to your dog’s coat, comfort, and lifestyle. We avoid extreme styles or complicated patterns that may require longer handling times, and we're happy to skip nonessential steps if your dog is tired or uncomfortable.
Additional Support for Senior Dogs
Senior dogs may have unique challenges, including arthritis, cognitive changes, or vision and hearing loss. We adjust our grooming process to reduce stress and ensure comfort throughout the entire appointment.
- Appointments are scheduled with extra time, allowing for a slower pace and more breaks if needed.
