Mobile Dog Grooming Frequently Asked Questions

Please text or call us at 623-340-6642 if you cannot find an answer to your question.

We groom most breeds and coat types, including double-coated dogs, short-haired breeds, curly or wavy coats, flat-faced breeds, senior dogs, and dogs with health or mobility challenges. Mixed and designer breeds are always welcome. Please note: We do not groom Akitas or Chow Chows.
We specialize in Bath & Brush services and Full Grooms - we do not offer Show Cuts.

We provide one-on-one, low-stress mobile grooming designed to reduce common stressors such as noise, waiting, and exposure to other dogs.

We work with many dogs that are nervous, older, or have mild, manageable health conditions. However, all dogs must be able to tolerate routine grooming and basic handling, including standing for the duration of the appointment and remaining reasonably cooperative.

Senior dogs are groomed at a slower, more controlled pace, but grooming is still limited by what the dog can safely tolerate during the session.

For the safety of your pet and our groomer, we are not equipped to handle dogs with significant medical conditions, recent surgeries, or injuries that require specialized or veterinary-assisted care.

We reserve the right to stop or refuse service if a dog becomes overly stressed, aggressive, or unsafe to handle.

If your dog is given veterinarian-prescribed calming medication prior to grooming, please note this when booking so we can plan the appointment appropriately. Dogs must be able to stand and tolerate routine grooming safely.

We accept all major credit and debit cards via Square, as well as cash and check. Payment is due at the end of the appointment.

We use professional-grade iGroom shampoos selected based on your dog’s coat type and skin condition—not a one-size-fits-all product. Each shampoo serves a specific purpose:

  • Clarifying (oil & buildup removal) → iGroom Squeaky Clean Shampoo
  • Deshedding (undercoat release) → iGroom Deshedding + Detangling Shampoo & Conditioner
  • Moisturizing (coat protection & flexibility) → iGroom Squalane Care Shampoo & Conditioner
  • Hypoallergenic (sensitive or irritated skin) → iGroom Hypoallergenic Shampoo
  • Texturizing / Volumizing (structure for curly coats) → iGroom Extreme Volume Shampoo
  • Whitening (light coat enhancement) → iGroom True Color Brightening Shampoo (Violet)

By selecting the correct product for each dog, we’re able to properly clean the coat, support skin health, and achieve a more consistent, professional result. Here is a full breakdown of how we match shampoos to coat types.

We serve North Phoenix and North Glendale, including Arrowhead Ranch, Deer Valley Village, Moon Valley, and North Mountain communities—covering ZIP codes 85022, 85023, 85024, 85027, 85029, 85032, 85053, 85306, 85308, and 85310

All grooming services are provided in our fully equipped mobile grooming van, parked right at your home. We do not groom inside the house—everything takes place in the van to keep the process clean, convenient, and stress-free for both you and your dog.

You can view pricing and book online through our Square site. Select your dog’s breed or coat type to get started.

If your dog has a smooth, single coat with no undercoat (Boxer, Pit Bull), choose Single-Coated (Smooth) Bath & Brush.

If your dog has a shorter double coat that sheds (Labrador, Corgi, Heeler, short-coated German Shepherd), choose Short Double-Coated Bath & Brush.

If your dog has a long, dense, or heavy coat that requires extensive coat work or haircutting (Husky, Malamute, long-coated German Shepherd, Goldendoodle, Shih Tzu), choose Full Groom & Long/Heavy Double Coat.

Yes! We send a text message when we're headed to your home with an estimated arrival time.

You can bring your dog out to meet us when we arrive, or we can greet your dog at your front door. You're also welcome to walk your dog to our van and take a look around. Many dogs feel more at ease when they see it’s a safe, quiet space.

Our mobile salon is designed for one-on-one grooming in a focused, calm setting. While we don’t allow owners to stay in the van during grooming, we’re happy to explain the process beforehand and answer any questions.

  • Bath with premium shampoos suited to your dog’s coat

Yes—when a dog has sensitive skin or signs of irritation, the product selection is adjusted accordingly.

Skin condition always takes priority over standard coat care. Instead of using a clarifying or coat-specific shampoo, a milder formula is selected to reduce the risk of further irritation while still cleaning effectively.

For these situations, we use:

  • iGroom Hypoallergenic Shampoo

This type of shampoo is designed to:

  • cleanse without over-stripping the skin
  • avoid unnecessary additives that can trigger reactions
  • rinse clean without leaving residue, which is especially important in areas like skin folds

This approach is commonly used for dogs such as Bulldogs, French Bulldogs, and Pit Bulls, but it can be applied to any breed when the skin is reactive.

Product selection is based on what the skin needs at the time of the appointment, so adjustments are made as needed to keep the coat clean while maintaining skin stability.

Here is a full breakdown of how we select shampoos based on coat type and skin condition.

Most dogs benefit from grooming every 4–6 weeks. Dogs with short coats may need less frequent trims but still benefit from regular bathing to manage shedding and skin health.
